I stopped by BMW Motorcycles of San Francisco today to check out the shirts I designed for them.

In preparation for next year’s release of the BMW S1000RR street bike, I was contracted to do a shirt design celebrating the new bike as well as incorporating San Francisco in the design. The San Francisco part is just to separate the BMW dealership from the other BMW shops. After all, why not pimp out the fact that this is just a fucking awesome city?!!

I’m very happy about the way it turned out - swing by their shop and check em out!

I think BMW Motorcycles is also considering putting the drawing into a poster kinda thing too - :D

Hey all -

Just wanted to quickly introduce myself - my name’s Rich Lee and I’ve worked on several Urban Moto covers, as well as the logo ... shit ... as well as having actually helped Dan and Les get this whole shit off the ground! That was, I think, about 5 years ago and while I no longer handle the layouts and all that, I, from time to time, contribute some doodles here and there for this rag.

Anyhow - my main focus now is in illustration/comics, so I’d like to share some of my shit with you folks - please let me know what you all think!

This past couple of weeks I worked on a gouache painting for one of my summer classes - assignment was basically to choose a person who is easily identifiable and create a portrait and a secondary image describing why that person is famous. I figured I’d do Valentino Rossi - shit, why not?! Anyhow, the following was the step-by-step process.

Oh yeah, I suppose it shouldn’t come as a surprise, but no one else in class recognized Rossi.
