If you have not heard, there is a massive
recall of the 1998-2005 (and some 2006) Suzuki cruisers (VL1500
and C90/T Boulevard Models). This encompasses
approx. 38,000 bikes. The recall is for a
suspected fuel leak problem resulting from
stress fractures to the front mounting point

BMW ANNOUNCES RECALL
(Germany) Bavarian Motor Works recently
announced it is recalling up
to 90,000 motorcycles after finding a safety problem
involving the adjustment of their anti-lock braking systems (ABS). BMW had no comment on where the motorcycles
were sold or whether any accidents prompted
the recall. If you have an anti-lock braking
system on your BMW, simply call your local
authorized BMW motorcycle dealer and confirm whether your bike is included
in the recall. If it is they will schedule
your free recall service. The repair takes
about two hours. Though BMW made no comment
on the urgency of the matter, anything to
do with the effective and safe use of your
brakes should not be taken lightly, so hop
to it and don't delay getting your ABS looked

was riding home to Pennsylvania from California
when he was killed April 8, 2006 in Texas after colliding with a deer that

(San Leandro) Join in the ASBN crew for their meets on the FIRST MONDAY of each month, rain-or-shine! As usual,

Jones along with Eric and Ben's father and uncle Paul and
Dave Bostrom and the legendary Joe Leonard telling stories and answering questions.
Along with these great motorcycle personalities,
will be our own San Francisco Bay Area hero
in the Paris-Dakar endurance race, this year
actually being Lisbon-Dakar, Charlie Rauseo. Charlie will tell about his adventures in
Dakar.
