Date: Sep.07.2010

Electric bike maker Matthew Dieckmann, 29, was riding an electric motorcycle when he collided with a Toyota Prius driven by a 71 year old driver in Santa Rosa, California Monday August 20th. Pedrosa Wins Misano
Date: Sep.07.2010

Dani Pedrosa took his fourth victory of the season, and first ever back-to-back race wins, with a lights-to-flag triumph at Misano on Sunday. But there were no celebrations as the news that Shoya Tomizawa had lost his life in the earlier Moto2 event was announced immediately after the finish of the MotoGP race. Championship leader Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo finished 2nd and Ducati rider Casey Stoner 3rd.
Lorenzo's lead over Pedrosa in the championship has been reduced to 63 points.

MotoGP Rider Shoya Tomizawa Dies
Date: Sep.07.2010

MotoGP rider Shoya Tomizawa died when he fell from his Honda racebike on lap 12 and was hit by two riders following closely behind during the Moto2 Misano MotoGP support race. Japan's Daijiro Kato was the last rider to die racing MotoGP. He crashed during the first race of the 2003 season, at Suzuka in Japan, and died following two weeks in a coma.
Tomizawa's crash was similar to the accident that claimed Peter Lenz last Sunday. The 13-year-old from Vancouver, Wash., died during a warmup event at the United States MotoGP in Indianapolis, where he fell and then was hit by another rider in a U.S. Grand Prix Racers Union series event.
The mortally injured Tomizawa was rushed off the track by medical personnel and the Misano race was not red flagged to the surprise of many

American Jake Gagne Champion
Red Bull Rookies Cup Championship
Date: Sep.04.2010

17 year old Jake Gagne did what he need to do, and finished second to rival Danny Kent. Kent won the race, and did all he could to slow the pace, to put other racers between them, but came up short, Gagne needed to finish lower than third to give it to Kent. Daijiro Hiura from Japan came in 3rd in the race and championship.

Red Bull Rookies Cup Finale
US vs UK
Date: Sep.03.2010

Even though we were left without the very popular Red Bull Rookies cup here in the states, the Euro Red Bull Rookies Series continues and among all that world wide talent, we have American Jake Gagne leading by 11 points going into the Final Misano round. Briton Danny Kent is trailing by 11 points, the only two riders with a chance to be champion. With Kent on pole, and through some bad mechanical luck Gagne starting 10th it should be a very exciting race.
